Membership
Here's how joining works — from sign-up to co-owner.
Scroll the path below — every step explained, nothing hidden.
Before you begin
You may apply if you belong to one of the groups below. In Step 1, the portal runs an eligibility test against these categories to confirm you're a viable potential member before you continue.
Tap a group to see who qualifies.
People directly employed, contracted, or enrolled as adults at the university.
Immediate relatives and legal guardians of regular members or minor students.
Organizations, agencies, alumni, and services tied to the USC ecosystem.
Residents and individuals in the cooperative’s area of operation.
Not sure which group applies to you? Visit the coop office or contact our Help Desk before applying.
Phase 1
Account setup, eligibility check, and co-ownership education
Viable potential member → continue
Sign up, then confirm you qualify as a viable potential member.
Register with your name, email, and password to open the portal. Immediately after signup, a short eligibility screening asks which group you belong to — USC employee, student, family of a member, USC-affiliated, or community member — and checks that you meet the requirements listed above.
Complete the Pre-Membership Education Seminar.
A ~15-minute seminar on your rights, benefits, and duties as a co-owner — online or in person at the coop office. You can only proceed here once you pass the eligibility test.
A short check that you understood the seminar — not your membership eligibility.
Didn't pass? You'll be guided back to re-watch the PMES — no penalty, unlimited retries. This quiz is separate from the eligibility test in Step 1.
Phase 2
Complete your profile and membership payments
Fill in employment and personal details.
Have your valid ID and department info ready. Most people finish in under 10 minutes.
₱300 membership fee — amounts differ for USC employees vs personal members.
Compare the two columns below to see what applies to you. Everyone pays the membership fee when submitting the application.
Payment options at a glance
USC Employee
Faculty & staff on USC payroll
Personal
Non-USC payroll members
Both paths include the same ₱300 membership fee when you submit your application.
Phase 3
From temporary ID to bonafide member
Cooperative Membership Committee
Initial review
Your Name
Temporary Member
Your temporary member badge is issued once the Cooperative Membership Committee clears initial review.
The Cooperative Membership Committee reviews your application, eligibility, and documents. When initial review is complete, you receive a digital temporary member badge and card — proof of provisional status while your file moves to board ministerial review.
The BOD reviews your application after committee clearance (5–7 business days).
Following membership committee initial review, the Board of Directors conducts ministerial review. You'll get email updates as your status moves from Submitted → Under Review → Approved.
Certificate, cooperative ID, and full member benefits.
Loans, investments, CoopMart, dividends — you're officially a co-owner.
When this all makes sense, start your real application — the portal guides you through each step above.
